Translation of Process Safety to Cyber Incidents within the Emergency Management Arc

Providing cybersecurity for critical infrastructure has become more challenging as the span and sophistication of cyber-physical risks continue to evolve. The potential impact of breaches, data loss, and operability concerns continue to increase across these complex, community-based technologically coupled systems. This paper finds that process safety management thinking can inform cyber-physical resilience efforts and ongoing cyber risk management, especially for critical infrastructure within the emergency management arc.
