90° Bending Optical Switch Based on Dielectric Meta-resonator

In order to realize optical switch with the function of bending and splitting in photonic integrated circuits, we propose an new strategy of optical switch based on the unique characteristics of square photonic crystal resonator around the Dirac-like point. The principle of standing wave resonance and effective medium theory are utilized in dielectric resonator to achieve the effective optical switch of 90° bending and splitting. The significant features of simple structure, low loss, high integration degree and flexibility of this optical switch may have potential applications in future photonic integration.
