Coherent phonon induced ultrafast transient response in rigid rold-like /spl pi/-conjugated thin films

Summary form only given. We have used the strong coupling between the coherent phonon mode and the exciton in an oligomer film to produce transient bleaching of the exciton if pumped one phonon below and to observe Raman gain due to coherent phonons.
