Using of Conical Mirrors in Terahertz Lasers

The article analyzes the influence of inhomogeneities of the active substance on the process of radiation generation in terahertz lasers. Ways to eliminate the negative effects of thermal instabilities and inhomogeneities of the active substance using 90 ° conical mirrors have been proposed. The possibility of obtaining focusing abilities by reducing the angle at the apex of conical mirrors is considered.
