Designing of Neutron Cross Section Processing Program for Nuclear Power Plant Full-Scope Simulator

The core physics simulation system is the key to the full scope simulator research, meanwhile, it directly affects neutron cross-section fitting process and core simulation efficiency. With the development of Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) full scope simulator (FSS), higher accuracy requirements are needed for core simulation system. Based on the core physical simulation model, a neutron cross-section processing program is designed in this paper, which accounts for the effects of fuel burn-up, fuel and moderator temperatures, boron concentration, control rod position, as well as xenon and samarium concentrations. Based on the core system model of "Hua-long 1" (HPR1000) NPP, the multi-group constants are imported by the neutron cross-section processing program, and the core real-time simulation model is established and integrated with FSS. Empirical analysis verifies the accuracy of core physical simulation model and the neutron cross-section processing program can precisely reflect the relationship between the calculated cross-section and related core parameters. Consequently, the designed neutron cross-section processing program can be widely used in the FSS development and core physical simulation research.
