Hydrodynamic Performance of the Cross-Sea Bridge Substructure under Wave and Current

The substructure of cross-sea bridge, in particular, manifests a far more complex stress state than that of inland bridge under the interaction of wave and ocean current since the completion of construction. Therefore, it is of great significance to conduct a study on mechanical properties of the substructure by taking into account of the marine environment loads in form of wave and ocean current. On the basis of experimental test and numerical simulation, the hydrodynamic performance of a cross-sea bridge substructure under different wave condition is analyzed. The relationships between wave parameters( wave period, water depths, incident angle of wave ) and the hydrodynamic performance of substructure( wave surface elevation, wave-current force, the pressure distribution )are discussed. By conducting a systematic study on hydrodynamic performance of cross-sea bridge substructure under the effect of waves and ocean currents, the thesis puts forwards with some suggestions on designing of cross-sea bridge substructure, which is of reference value in designing structures of similar types for the future.
