A Comparative Study of Star Detection Methods for a Satellite-Onboard Star Tracker

In this paper, a comparative study of some star detection methods is conducted. Then these methods are those employed for a satellite-onboard star tracker. Tested methods are applied on simulated stellar images with several types of noise and their performances are compared. Seven methods are tested and applied on three images with ten scenarios, concerning types of noise, for each image.
