A New Control Strategy for Converters Based on Hybrid Switch

A control strategy for hybrid switch (HyS) consisting of SiC MOSFET and Si IGBT is proposed for converter applications in this paper. With this method, the MOSFET and IGBT in the HyS are operated in turn with switching-on period ratio of 1: n. Therefore, the oscillation problem in the conventional HyS can be suppressed effectively. The efficiency of the inverter studied in this paper can also be improved especially under the high-frequency conditions. The simulation results verify the validity of the proposed control method.
