Abstract:

Photonic crystal fiber (PCF) based Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) bio-sensor with bimetallic selectively filled metal layers is proposed. Single mode PCF excites the plasmons on the inner surface of the selectively filled metalized nanolayers of gold and silver. Finite Element Method (FEM) with perfectly matched layer (PML) is applied to evaluate the complex propagation constant. The sensor consists of selectively filled metalized air holes analyte channel with silver and gold which provide the two sensitive plasmonic peaks corresponds to each metal layer so the proposed sensor can be used as a multimolecule sensing for the single analyte
