Tracking and Analysis of IRNSS and GPS Satellites by Using Satellite tool kit

Independent regional Navigation Satellite System is the independent navigation and tracking system that has been developed by Indian Space Research Organization. This system will replace the global positioning satellite system which is being used for navigation and tracking purpose currently. This paper deals with the comparison of the available IRNSS and GPS satellites in space, the coverage area and the visibility of satellites with respect to receiver and the speed of the satellite motion and distance between the satellite and the receiver by using satellite tool kit. This study concludes that the coverage area of IRNSS satellite system is 1500 km around the Indian boundary region and it can provide uninterrupted service for twenty four/seven in all whether condition.
