Measurement of Level 5 Fusion With Workload Consensus

A method is presented to characterize, with quantified uncertainty, human workload factors related to level 5 fusion (user refinement). The method leverages well-established techniques in Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) to modify the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Task Load Index (TLX) approach to subjective workload assessment, creating a fusion framework that combines subjective measurements. Real world results are presented for the characterization of sonar acoustic operator and boatswain tasks.
