Reduction of the Conducted Disturbances Generated by the Ignition Systems of Glidarc Plasma Reactors

The operation of a three-phase plasma reactor (Fig. 1) with a gliding arc discharge, powered from a converter power supply system (Fig. 2) showed problems with frequent spontaneous shutdowns of the converter. These shutdowns were caused by the safety automatics detecting dangerously high overvoltages on the secondary side of the converter.
