Effect of thickness of one-dimensional nanofibers by electrospinning on the dielectric properties of PVDF composites

With the further application of flexible film capacitor materials in the field of microelectronic devices, wearable smart device, etc., polymer-based nanocomposite dielectric materials have received extensive attention. Based on the previous research, using one-dimensional inorganic nanofibers as functional filler can effectively improve the dielectric properties of the nanocomposites. In this work, the core-shell structure BT@Al
₂
O
₃
nanofibers and its poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) nanocomposite films were prepared by coaxial electrospinning and casting technique, respectively. The effect of the core-shell nanofibers with different shell thickness on the dielectric properties of PVDF nanocomposite films was investigated in detail. The results show that the thickness of the shell of 5 wt% BT@Al
₂
O
₃
nanofibers can make more contribution to the improved dielectric permittivity of the BT@Al
₂
O
₃
/PVDF nanocomposite films. In addition, the introduction of the Al
₂
O
₃
shell nanofibers promotes the breakdown strength of the BT@Al
₂
O
₃
/PVDF nanocomposite films.
