Simulation and state space representation of single phase five level h-bridge inverter using MATLAB

The proposed work deals with modelling of single phase five level cascaded H bridge inverter. This kind of energy systems are fast growing power systems of recent years, mainly in the grid connected photovoltaic system area. Cascaded H bridge converters have more attention because of their medium voltage operation, high efficiency and effective power quality. This inverter gives five levels of output voltages. The amplitude and harmonics are controlled by adjusting the switching angle. The results of this inverter are simulated using MATLAB Simulink and the THD analysis of the inverter is done through FFT analysis in Simulink.
