Design and Analysis of a Quadratic Boost Derived High Step up Converter for DC Micro-grid Application

This paper proposes a coupled inductor based quadratic boost converter with a switched capacitor cell to attain high voltage gain with low duty ratio. This converter is advantageous in two ways: higher voltage gain and reduced switch voltage stress. An analysis carried out to determine the steady state parameters with design of converter parameters. The theoretical analysis is validated through Matlab Simulink platform by designing a 250 W converter. Simulation results validated the effectiveness of the analysis.
