Contour generation using geometrically deformable models

The authors have adapted an existing algorithm that can reproducibly contour structures in radiographic images. In their preliminary tests, variation in the contour definition was typically less than 1 millimeter between different operators, and less than 0.5 millimeters between multiple trials by the same operator. These results have encouraged the authors to continue development of this method as a clinical tool.
