Simulation Study on the Effect of Fuel Preheating Temperature on Temperature Field and NOx Emission of 130kW Natural Gas Heater

Green development is one of the important trends of energy development and transformation in the world. Natural gas as a clean energy, its related application equipment research will play a very important role in green development. In order to study the influence of different fuel preheating temperature on the temperature field and NOx emission in 130kW natural gas heater, DO radiation model, standard k - ϵ model, non premixed combustion model, thermal and prompt NOx model are used to simulate the thermal flow field in the heater. The results show that with the increase of fuel preheating temperature, the heat release from combustion, the average temperature of fire tube and flue tube bundle and the outlet temperature of convective tube bundle increase first and then decrease, and the maximum flame temperature and NOx emission increase continuously. After comprehensive analysis, the optimum preheating temperature of the fuel imported from the burner is 800K. At this temperature, the heat release from combustion, the average temperature of fire tube and flue tube bundle and the outlet temperature of convective tube bundle are the highest, and the rate of NOx formation begins to decrease.
