Reliability Analysis of The Car Damper under Road Spectrum Based on Monte Carlo Method

To investigate the reliability of the car damper more accurately, a test car of Chinese independent brand was employed to collect signals under different roads in the road test field, the random vibration theory and spectral theory were applied to eliminate the anomalous points, trend items and test the stability of the collected road spectrum. After the bench test device was equipped with the damper, the hydraulic cylinder was driven to control error in a specific range between the response signal of the spring and the road signal, the excitation signal was determined finally. The random load of the damper seat under the corresponding road spectrum was calculated according to the processed random signal, and theoretical analysis has been conducted through the stress-strength interference model. The Monte Carlo method was applied to verify the numerical simulation, indicating when the load times of the road spectrum were the life index, the reliability of the damper seat on two types of general roads was similar and was higher than that on the Belgian road. The reliability of the damper seat was also calculated under two whole road spectrum (about 60,000 kilometers of the road test site), and the bench test has been used to verify the reliability of the damper seat.
