Extinguishment distance estimation method of DC breaking arc occuring under Low Voltage DC conditions

In this paper, experiments for DC breaking-arc extinguishing distance are conducted in cases of load power levels and source voltages. From the experimental results, an estimation method for arc extinguishing distance is proposed. It is verified that the proposed method can estimate accurately arc extinguishing distance of DC breaking-arc even in various source conditions.
