A Novel Multiple Band Wireless Power Harvesting Antenna

This paper presents an improved printed slot antenna with high gain and wide bandwidth which is suitable for multiple band wireless power harvesting. Two strip-type slots are added to the previous diamond-slot antenna, which can reduce the size of the antenna and enhance the bandwidth. A metal backplane is placed under the proposed element, which can improve the gain. The antenna parameters are then optimized and the prototype antenna has been fabricated. The measurement results show that the proposed antenna works in band 2.2-2.7GHz and maximum gain is 8.4dBi@2.4GHz, which can be used for 3G and Wi-Fi wireless power harvesting.
