Abstract:

The aim of this work is to generate different haptic senses by using distinct vibration motors, which are different from each other, simultaneously. For this purpose, Eccentric Rotary Mass (ERM) and Linear Resonant Actuator (LRA) are used for generating haptic signals which are easily discriminated by a user by touching the surface. The vibration signals are created by changing the parameters of ERM and LRA such as frequency, amplitude, modulation, duration...etc. and each represents corresponding message.

1. Introduction

Touch is the one of the main five senses of the people. It is essential for the people to explore and recognize the things around it to learn how to survive. The skin of the living body sends necessary information to the central nervous system that provides exploitation and recognition to the living body in case of touching to the solid or liquid objects. Therefore the locomotion system is initiated and causes body movements.
