A Machine Learning Based Approach for Recommending Courses at Graduate Level

Students often face confusion during their academic career regarding the choice of the courses, hence they need proper guidance for the same. Course recommendation system is a tool which will help students make informed course selections. We have used this paper to propose a system which can be used for recommending courses to students. The paper focuses on a graduate level of study. It utilizes Data Mining techniques as well as Machine Learning in order to give the accurate results to the students. The factors taken into account are on the students' performance and their preferred domain of interest. The system will learn from the data and give as correct a prediction as possible. The system will benefit the students by giving them the accurate recommendation both to their liking as well as capability.
