Lightweight Virtual Machine Mapping for Data Centers

Virtual machines (VM) are based on computer architectures for cloud based solutions and often provide functionality of a physical computing device. In cloud computing environment, processor sharing or virtualization over physical machines sometimes leads to communication instability. Optimized VM mapping, consolidation and representation is a critical operation in distributed systems and has a direct influence on performance optimization and resource management features of data centers. In this paper we presented a simple VM mapping scheme for data centers through the graph theoretic approach where cloud functions are elaborated in terms of nodes and edges.
