Improved Design of Automatic Car Battery Charging System

This paper aims to develop a low cost, simple yet efficient system to continuously measure the car battery voltage. Further, this may recharge the car battery in the event of voltage level reduces to a critical value below which it is insufficient to start the engine of the car. The system aims to better customer's life by giving a warning before complete discharge of the car battery. The battery charging can take place even in the absence of the user so that no inconvenience is caused at the time of use. Arduino UNO microcontroller has been used to govern the entire system along with relays, voltage sensors and LiPo battery. A GSM module has been used to notify the user about the car battery voltage level.
