Operation Cost Optimal Dispatch Model for Distribution Network with Isothermal Compressed Air Energy Storage

Isothermal compressed air energy storage has many advantages, such as large scale, low cost, no need of fuel, high efficiency of thermal power conversion, and it is one of the important development directions of compressed air energy storage. In this paper, I-CAES power plant is considered as an important dispatching resource to participate in optimal dispatching of distribution network operation cost. Firstly, based on the thermodynamic characteristics of I-CAES power station, the operation constraint model of energy storage power station is established. Then, an optimal dispatching model of distribution network operation cost including I-CAES plant is proposed. The minimum purchase cost in one day is taken as the objective function. Finally, an example is simulated by the modified IEEE 33-bus system. The simulation result shows that the efficient I-CAES plant participating in dispatching can greatly save the operation cost of distribution network.
