Selection procedure of Z-network parameters for a SVPWM Voltage-fed ZSI under varying input voltage conditions with simulated performance

A procedure for selecting the Z-network parameters for a three phase Voltage-fed Z-Source Inverter for a given input DC voltage and desired output ac voltage and loading condition is described. Selection of the parameters is based on the allowable inductor current ripple and the allowable capacitor voltage ripple. The modulation of the switching pulses is based on Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation. A fixed shoot-through duty ratio is calculated depending on the voltage gain required. The simulation results are given to justify the theoretical calculations with the ±25% variation of input DC voltage.
