Machine Learning Applications in Computer Emergency Response Team Operations

At the European level, a significant effort was exerted in order to define the regulatory framework for cyber security and establish Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) to handle cyber threats and incidents. However, this topic is still underrepresented in the academic research, probably because of its novelty. Bearing this in mind, in this paper we reviewed the existing cyber security literature and discussed how the already existing methods could be used for providing more efficient CERT services.
