Detection in a Non-invasive Way of Glucose in Cells Cultivation

For any measuring device on the market, whether it is medical or not otherwise, the accuracy and precision inherent in the measurement are the parameters most taken into consideration at the time of purchase. These parameters are even more important when it comes to medical devices, as they usually have to do with substances of minimal concentration with a need for high accuracy. The aforementioned project aims to detect glucose concentrations between 0.1 and 0.5 g/L in the medium of cell culture through a spectral detection at 1450 nm and therefore non-invasively: In a solution mainly consisting of water and glucose. The most difficult problems were encountered in attenuating noise-related interferences, a very important factor in these types of devices, due to the fact that they are directly related to the parameters mentioned above. We then tried to stem this factor by building dedicated hardware.
