Constructing ECU Software Architecture Based on OSEK

with the growing of the automotive industry and the increasing demands of automotive functions, the processor-based electronic control units become more powerful, their design and development become more complex. Therefore, there is a need for developing an ECU hardware and software to implement its complex functions. An ECU embedded software architecture based on OSEK is defined in this paper, which is constructed by external applications, RTOS API, RTOS-kernel, hardware abstraction layer and hardware. This ECU software architecture is also platform independent. The purpose is aiming to reduce the complexity of the ECU software design, and to improve systematic real-time, safety and stability.
