Power quality from a utility perspective

This paper addresses power quality (PQ) from the perspective of JEA, a municipal utility in the State of Florida, USA. PQ is discussed with a clear understanding of the definition, causes, problems and solutions that address issues from both the utility and customer's point of view. Case studies are also presented based on actual problems experienced at various customer sites. The end result is a realistic understanding of PQ issues and the roles of utility and customer in resolving PQ problems.
