Liver CT Image Segmentation Based on Modified Canny Algorithm

A modified Canny algorithm called Canny edge detection Level set algorithm is proposed in this work for the segmentation of liver CT image. This modified algorithm based on the combination of Level set image segmentation method and Canny edge detection method. The basic purpose is that the liver CT images affected by noises can be segmented according to the mapping from low-dimension to high-dimension. This segmentation method has a high degree of adaptability and precision characteristics on the uneven liver CT image and can accurately extract the edge of the target. The experiments also provide desirable results.
