Child Development Application (Toddler) Based on Android

Infants under five years old or commonly called “toddlers” always experience changes in terms of growth and development from birth to adolescence. Here the role of both parents in the process of growth and development of children is very necessary in order to monitor every change that occurs. But sometimes parents experience problems or because there is no accurate record of toddler growth and development, so the observation of development is not optimal. With the current technological advances that are increasingly rapid with the many uses of Android mobile devices can make a way to develop an application that is able to facilitate parents in observing their toddler growth. Therefore researchers designed and made an application for information systems development of toddlers with the aim to support and facilitate parents in observing the process of developing toddlers and make it easier for parents to get knowledge about health in infants. The development of this information system uses the waterfall method. The method begins with analysis, design, coding and then testing the application. Application testing is done using the blackbox test and the test results show that the process in the system has run smoothly. User test is done by giving questionnaires to prospective users and the results show that the user agrees and argues that this information system is useful for parents in observing the growth of toddlers. Respondents of users agree that the Android-based Toddler Development Information system can be used as one of the media to find information about toddler health and can be used to record the progress of toddlers.
