A Dual-frequency Broadband Patch Antenna with L-shaped Probe Feed for 5G Communication

A dual-band broadband patch antenna with an L-shaped probe feed is proposed for 5G communication. The two frequency bands of the patch antenna are 2.51 GHz - 2.66 GHz and 3.06 GHz - 4.2 GHz, respectively, achieved more than 30% of the bandwidth and an average gain of 5 dBi in the second frequency band. The actual measurement of the antenna shows that the numerical simulation analysis of the target antenna is consistent with the measurement results, meeting the requirements of miniaturization and wideband of the 5G communication antenna.
