High Temporal Resolution Channel Emulation Utilizing Variable Delay and Polyphase Filters

The paper proposes a method to emulate high temporal resolution wireless channel, using variable fractional delay filters. The design modifies tapped delay line model with Farrow structure. It features precise and variable delay without changing the filter coefficients. Furthermore, the integration with the ployphase filter structure makes it possible to apply in the emulation of wideband signals. The simulation results are discussed and analyzed, including the impact of the filter order and normalized bandwidth. Finally, the implement results based on this design are compared and summarized.
