A Dual-band Dual-polarized Sector-loop Antenna With Compact Structure

A dual-band dual-polarized sector-loop antenna is proposed in this paper. The antenna has a sector-loop, a CPW and a microstrip-line. The antenna can realize dual-band by using resonant different modes. It is a slot basic mode in the higher band and a loop basic mode in the lower band. To realize dual-polarized performance, the antenna used a CPW to achieve vertical polarization modes and used a microstrip-line to achieve horizontal polarization modes. The simulation results show that the isolation between the two ports is better than 27dB in the dual band. The common -10dB impedance bandwidth is 310MHz (2.32-2.63GHz) and 370MHz (3.32-3.69GHz), the lower band can cover 2.4GHz WLAN and the higher band can cover 3.5GHz WiMAX. The antenna is low weight, low profile and easily assembled.
