Research on Space Power Combining Efficiency of Time-Domain Array Antenna

Due to the limited performance of the device itself, the technical space for improving the output power of a single pulse source is very limited. In order to further increase the output of pulse power, it is an effective method to realize space power combining by using multiple small ultra-wide spectrum pulse sources and combining with efficient time-domain radiation antennas. In this paper, the theoretical calculation formula of the combining efficiency is given from the perspective of time domain, and the delay jitter, pulse width and the number of units in array antenna are analyzed based on the method of numerical simulation. The experimental results show that the combining efficiency is greatly affected by delay jitter and pulse width, and the theoretical calculation is in good agreement with the experimental results. The research results are valuable for the design of space power combining system based on array antenna.
