Optomechanical Metamaterial/Metasurface and the Application

This paper presents the research achievements for the optomechanical metamaterials and metasurfaces in our group at the past several years. Firstly, the analysis for mechanical motion under the electromagnetic (EM) wave excitation of a metamaterial unit cell is developed, and the interaction between the EM wave and metamaterial unit cell is then provided both in air and liquid environments. Lastly, one of the potential applications for antenna power protection by using such kind of the optomechanical metasurface is proposed.
