Test System for Avionics Central Data Management Units

Aircraft contain special central data management units that are responsible for data collecting and management. These data management units collect data from various subsystems; such as pilot warning screen, battery management system, motors, fire protection, hydraulic systems, etc. Aircraft subsystems perform dozens of different tasks. In order to simulate all these systems, many different devices must be used together and communicate with each other. For these reasons, a rack-type compact system was installed as the qualification test system for the central data management unit. Also, all of the simulated data which are generated by reference of aircraft subunits was transferred to the test user interface software. In addition, these simulated data are sent to the data management center in real time periods, as in air vehicles. After that, the output data of the data management unit was analyzed according to test requirements. Due to the working scenarios of an aircraft, the qualification test of a data management unit includes complicated test steps. In this paper, we will introduce the qualification test system which we designed for an avionic central data management unit.
