The Dermatotropic Effect of a Silver-containing Sorbent on a Breach of Skin Integrity

This work shows the result of applying the prototype soft dosage form for external use, consisting of a sorbent, silver and gel base in a wound process. The experiment was carried out in vivo (rats, line Wistar), on a model of burn and scalp wounds. The indices of the thickness of the epidermis of the cicatricial region of the scalp and burn wounds were evaluated, and an ultrastructural study of the papillary and reticular dermis was also performed after treatment. As a result of ultrastructural studies, it was found that the papillary and reticular layer increased the number of interdimensional spatial elements, but at the same time retained the common collagen fibers. The thickness of the epidermis did not exceed the normal range.
