Evaluation of an Ultrasonic Phased Array Flow Sensor for Harsh Environment

To calculate the mass emissions of combustion sources, an accurate determination of the exhaust mass flow with reasonable time resolution and robustness against high temperatures is needed. State of the art time of flight flowmeters often struggle to full fill this key requirement. To tackle these challenges, we are evaluating a new principle based on beamforming with a phased array for an ultrasonic flow sensor.
