Childbirth Simulation on Virtual Reality Platform Pongsagon Vichitvejpaisal

Childbirth educations are important for healthcare professionals. Usually, healthcare persons learn about deliver through videos and mannequins. Both of these methods have some disadvantageous. Videos are the passive form of learning and mannequins look unrealistic and expensive. We proposed a novel way to learn about deliver by using a simulation software that run on consumer level virtual reality platform. Our virtual simulation provide the users with realistic visual and interactive environment. The simulation would guide the users to follow the childbirth procedure step by step. The proposed system can run in real-time on laptop PC and affordable for medical schools.
