Computer Model of the Electromechanical System of Moving Electrodes of an Arc Furnace with a Combined Control Law

A mathematical model of a combined law for an electric arc furnace (EAF) arc length regulation is proposed. The structure and parametric degrees of freedom of the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy output system have been substantiated for EAF electrodes movement control signal generation governed by the combined law. A computer Simulink-model of the arc power controller utilizing the combined law of regulation for the EAF electric mode (EM) coordinates has been created. On the basis of this created Simulink-model, the research of the EM coordinates regulation dynamics indices using the proposed combined law and known differential law has been carried out. A comparative analysis of the mass production ARDM-T type arc power controller (automatic controller of arcs, mechanical, thyristor) dynamics indices under a differential law and with the use of the proposed combined law in its structure has been made. The obtained study results have confirmed the expediency of using the suggested combined control law, under which the dynamic accuracy of the ARDM-T controller EM coordinates stabilization is improved.
