A Multi-Order Sensitivity Calculation Method for Product Assembly Accuracy optimization

A high level of accuracy is required for the successful assembly of complex products, but the ability to control accuracy is difficult. Simulation and optimization techniques are effective for controlling assembly accuracy. However, due to the long assembly deviation route and many sources of deviation, it is often difficult to determine the optimal object quickly and efficiently in assembly accuracy optimization. For this reason, this paper studies sensitivity calculation method of deviation source for product assembly accuracy optimization. Taylor expansion method is applied to the deviation transfer equation. The different order Taylor expansion of the deviation transfer equation is studied. Then, multi-order deviation sensitivity is calculated and the influence of multi-order deviation sensitivity on assembly accuracy is analyzed. The proposed method provides a foundation for the rapid assembly accuracy optimization of complex products, such as aircrafts, spacecrafts and construction machinery.
