ME-CCHP: Copy Cluster Head Routing Protocol Based on Maximum Energy

Aerial Wireless Sensor Networks node aircrafts have high energy consumption and high cluster head mortality when patrolling around. To ensure the smooth operation of airborne wireless sensor network (AWSN), a copy cluster head routing protocol based on the maximum energy ME-CCHP of dynamic nodes in three-dimensional space is proposed. The protocol is developed on the basis of the LEACH protocol model of the traditional wireless sensor network. A copy cluster head mechanism is introduced to temporarily replace the death cluster head. When the nodes move dynamically in the three-dimensional space, if the cluster head nodes die unexpectedly, the cluster heads can be replaced in a timely manner to ensure that information transmission is not affected and AWSN runs smoothly. The simulation results show that ME-CCHP is better in performance compared with other protocols. It can not only effectively improve the utilization efficiency of network energy, but also prolong the network lifetime.
