A study of the factors and methodologies to drive successfully a big data project

Today, the competitiveness of companies is highly correlated with their adoption of big data, to the point where even the largest software companies are offering packaged solution to ease its adoption and utilization.Since the corner stone of the success of every Big Data project is methodology, some software companies offer, in addition to technical solutions, methodologies aiming to give a framework that can turn every big data project into a guaranteed success.In this paper, we try to highlight the key factors and look for methodologies tested and validated to follow in order to drive big data project successfully. Firstly, we begin by identifying success factors and theirs categories, then we explore the methodologies proposed in the literature and finally, we summarize theirs recommendations and limitations.
