Chipless RFID Reader for Wide Range Applications

The paper presents a low-cost chipless RFID reader working in the frequency range of 4-8 GHz. The reader uses frequency the sweep technique to collect the information from the tag. Chipless tags have unique properties corresponding to the different resonant frequencies. The reader works with the super high frequency which makes the fabrication size of the tag small and cheap. The proposed reader is suitable for many large-scale applications such as inventory management in large warehouses where the number of objects is very high.
