Design and Simulation of Low Complex Minimum Sum Algorithm Using MATLAB

LDPC is being enormously used these days in number of communication applications for its reliably and resourcefulness over a certain channel. LDPC decoding “Sum-Product Algorithm and Minimum Sum Algorithm” are implemented and compared in this paper. The parity check matrix used is unique in its construction; sparse method is used to generate the matrix. The decoder is simulated in MATLAB. Performance and effectiveness of algorithms is verified under the presence of noise.
