Buoy Monitoring System’s Operational Scenario

In the first place, buoy monitoring system is developed to solve the problem of easily discarded fishing nets, that is not only polluting the ocean, but also risking the fishery sustainability. However, this system is also preventive, as it can prevent the loss of fishing nets too. The buoy monitoring system consists of wireless transmission-capable buoys, a central monitoring system, and monitoring terminals for fishing boats and monitoring boats. In this study, we advanced on the buoy monitoring system introduced on a previous study, by examining the most effective operational scenario to support smooth systems integration and prevent last-minute design changes.
