Analysis of Wooden Biomass Use as Renewable Source of Energy in Romania

Biomass stands out from other renewable sources, such as wind and solar through the advantage of reliability, being independent from weather conditions. This study analyzes the energy price of 6 types of biomass fuel, by calculating the lower heating value of each through 3 formulas, for which a humidity analysis of the probes is required. The ash content of each probe is measured to complete the view on the combustion process.
