Uncertainty of Estimates of Deviations of the Form of Geometric Features

The deviations of the form of flat and rotating surfaces of machine components in accordance with ISO 1101: 2017 are considered. Estimation of form deviation is reduced to determining the difference between the position of two extreme points of the extracted feature to the associated feature or to equidistant to this feature normal to it, and the uncertainty of the form deviation is determined by the uncertainty of the position of these two extreme points. Three main groups of factors that form the measurement uncertainty are analyzed, respectively, three groups of components, namely: the uncertainty associated with the implementation of the extracted feature, the uncertainty associated with the construction of the associated feature and the uncertainty associated with the object of measurement.
